A former Perry County government grant writer has just published his fourth book of poetry.
A retiree from the County and the Kentucky River Area Development District, Benny Hamilton’s newest written collection is called “Appalachian Raconteur: Poems from the Heart of Appalachia.”
The Hazard Herald reports Hamilton has also published seven children’s books and a novel but he says poetry is his favorite.
Perry County Judge-Executive Scott Alexander says he is very happy to get the word out about
Benny’s talent, saying he has spent a lifetime doing great service for Appalachia.
