A former Whitesburg Middle School teacher and bus driver has been indicted by a Letcher County Grand Jury on charges including third-degree rape and possesion of child pornography. Brian Bailey of Benham is being held in the Letcher County Jail in lieu of a $250,000 cash bond. The Mountain Eagle reports the incidents of rape allegedly occurred over a two-month period last fall and involved a girl under 16 years old. Bailey is also charged with tampering with physical evidence.
