The Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky has a new leader, but it is a familiar face. Kristin Collins, the current Chief Operating Officer who has been with the foundation since 2015 has been named as the new Chief Executive Officer. She replaces founder and CEO Gerry Roll who will move into the role of Founder in Residence. Roll tells WYMT she and the Board went through a thoughtful process before deciding to elevate Collins. Collins will officially start as the CEO January 2.
