Services are today and tomorrow for former Letcher Commonwealth’s Attorney Edison G. Banks II who passed away December 2 after a long illness.
Visitation is tonight at 6 p.m. at Whitesburg First Baptist Church.
His funeral is tomorrow at 1 p.m. also at Whitesburg First Baptist Church.
A lifelong resident of Letcher County, Banks was the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 47th District for more than 23 years.
In 2014 he received the Outstanding Commonwealth’s Attorney Award from the Attorney General.
