Governor Beshear Announces Changes in Manhunt for I-75 Shooter

Governor Andy Beshear says police are changing up their approach in the search for alleged I-75 shooter Joseph Couch who disappeared into the Daniel Boone National Forest.

While officials believe he is still in there, the Governor said yesterday after 11 days of searching which has so far cleared more than 28,000 acres, they want to focus primarily on the safety and security of the nearby communities.

The Governor says they will begin transitioning some state and local law enforcement from a manhunt to a larger presence in the community including at schools and along bus routes.
