HARLAN CO., Ky. (WXKQ) – A man has been arrested in Harlan County after police say he arranged to meet what he believed was a 14-year-old girl at a local park.
John Goforth was taken into custody following a joint operation involving the Loyall Police Department and the group 606 Pred Hunters, which uses online decoys to identify people seeking contact with minors.
Authorities say Goforth arrived at the designated meeting location, where officers were waiting and arrested him.
Police report that explicit messages were found on his phone, which had been seized as evidence. The investigation remains ongoing.
