Hazard City Manager Tony Eversole has been named a Legendary Partner for service to child abuse victims by the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Kentucky. Eversole was nominated by The Care Cottage, of which he is president, and received the honor March 4 at the state capitol with Attorney General Russell Coleman presenting the awards to 16 people from across the state. The Hazard Herald reports Eversole is the former chief deputy of the Perry County Sheriff’s Office where he handled many child abuse cases. Care Cottage provides victims a safe place and support services.
