Hazard firefighters had to fight ice while fighting a house fire on Sunday afternoon.
Department says they responded around noon to the home on Moore Street.
They brought in two engines and some off-duty personnel.
They say with temperatures in the teens, the ground and their equipment, including ladders and hose lines were all covered in ice.
They were able to ventilate the structure and get the fire out then searched to make sure the fire didn’t extend into the walls.
They say while Hazard Police were on scene to do crowd control, they arrested one man but did not say why he was taken into custody.
The Fire Department says no one was hurt.
