LETCHER COUNTY, Ky. (WXKQ) – A Hazard woman has been indicted on charges of second-degree escape and second-degree criminal mischief after authorities say she violated the terms of her home incarceration.
The Letcher County Grand Jury indicted 45-year-old Tara Velasco, who is accused of escaping from home incarceration in April.
Velasco had previously been charged after Kentucky State Police allegedly found a handgun in her possession during a traffic stop despite her status as a convicted felon.
She remains charged in that separate case.
