Hazard’s Challenger Learning Center will be getting more than $900,000 in state funding over the next two years.
On Tuesday state and local officials gathered at Challenger to announce the funding that they say will mainly pay for operations at the Center but also allow other school districts to attend the center that might not otherwise be able to afford it.
The Hazard Herald reports plans expanding their robotics program out from just middle school to also include elementary and high schools.
