A long time Floyd County spiritual leader has passed away.
The Rev. Sister Judy Yunker served with St. James Episcopal Church, Fishes and Loaves food Pantry, the Floyd County Emergency & Rescue Squad and other organizations for decades.
WYMT reports in 2021 she received an East Kentucky Leadership Award for her work in keeping the community together and providing help during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Visitation is December 7 at First Methodist Church with her funeral December 8 at the Dwelling Place Monastery, all under the care of the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.
