Autopsy results are still pending for Trina Elizabeth Sandlin of Doty Creek who on June 8 had set out walking to a nearby home but never got there.
Her body was found several hours later.
The Mountain Eagle reports the Letcher County Coroner said the preliminary autopsy results showed the manner of death as a canine attack and likely from dogs, not coyotes.
Meanwhile officials tell the paper no one has seen the suspected neighborhood dogs since that night. KSP is leading the investigation.
