As fire investigators work to determine the cause of a house fire that claimed the lives of two Fleming-Neon men on Sunday, neighbors say they heard and felt an explosion at the home.
A 77-year-old man and his 32-year-old son died in the fire on Henry Hutton Road.
The Letcher County Coroner has not yet made their names public as family was still being informed.
One neighbor tells WYMT she was getting ready for church when she heard an explosion and then saw smoke pouring out the front of the house and then almost immediately large flames.
She described the fire as “very aggressive.”
