Jackie Joseph Officially Sworn In as Letcher County Schools Police Chief

Letcher County Public Schools first ever Police Chief is officially on the job.

Jackie Joseph was officially sworn in on Thursday by Judge Nick Whitaker and now she is
putting together the Public Schools Police Department.

The District says they are looking to hire at two levels of applications: Level 2 is for those who hold a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement and Level 1 is for those with a high school diploma.

Chief Joseph comes to Letcher County Schools with 23 years of service with the Kentucky State Police.

They say she also has a wealth of experience in building community-focused law
enforcement programs.
