Letcher County Central and Jenkins boys and girls wrapped up their regular season games over the weekend and now get ready for the district tournament.
Friday night, The Letcher County Central Lady Cougars won over Floyd Central 67-60 in a game played at Allen Central. The Lady Cougars finish at 18-11 on the season.
The Letcher County Central Central boys lost at Prestonsburg Friday night 74-60. The Cougar boys finish the regular season at 13-14.
The Jenkins Lady Cavaliers held senior night Friday night and lost to Buckhorn 63-43.
The Jenkins Cavalier boys won over ACTS of Kingsport 59-54 on Friday night then won over Buckhorn 81-48 on Senior Day Saturday afternoon.
The Cavaliers finish the regular season at 24-4.
The boys and girls 53rd District Tournaments begin tonight with both tournaments at Letcher County Central.
There will be 2 games each night tonight, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Tonight’s two games will be play in games as Jenkins girls take on Cordia at 6:00pm and June Buchanan boys take on Cordia around 8.
The girl’s district semi-finals will be played on Tuesday night and the boy’s district semi-finals on Wednesday night.
The girls 53rd District championship game will be Thursday at 7:00pm and the boys 53rd District championship game will be Friday at 7:00pm.

The girl’s 14th Region Tournament begins March 3 and will be played at Hazard and the boy’s 14th Region Tournament begins March 5 will be played at Knott County Central.
