The first day of school for Jenkins Independent Schools has been delayed by a day.
Today was supposed to be the first day of school but officials announced Tuesday
afternoon they need one more day to ensure the paving work around Burdine
Elementary is done, preventing any disruptions during drop-offs and dismissals.
They want all the schools to be on the same schedule so all classes will now start tomorrow.
