A Letcher County woman is facing allegations of driving under the influence after allegedly hitting a pedestrian with her car on a Floyd County highway. Mountain Top News reports Kaye Lynn Fox of Jenkins, was arrested for the December 22 accident along Route 680 near Eastern. The victim had to be airlifted to a hospital with major injuries. The arresting officer alleged Fox had slurred speech and failed a field sobriety test and he says a search turned up a syringe and numerous pills. She is charged with assault, wanton endangerment, DUI, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
