Judge Rules on Home Incarceration of Two Suspects in Amber Spradlin Murder

Two men charged in connection with the murder of Amber Spradlin in Prestonsburg in 2023 will remain on home incarceration until their February trial.

On Friday a judge ruled that Dr. Michael McKinney and Josh Mullins, who are charged with tampering with evidence, must stay on home incarceration despite a motion by their attorney a delay in the trial should allow them to move more freely.

The judge did slightly loosen the bond for M.K. McKinney who is charged with Spradlin’s murder.

It is still $5 million but can be secured with a $1 million property bond on top of $450,000 cash.

If he posts it, he will be under home incarceration with GPS monitoring and cannot live with his father.
