The KHSAA football state championship games are now set for this Friday and Saturday Dec. 1-2 at Kroger Field in Lexington.
Pikeville and Bell County are the two teams left from the mountains that will play for a state title.
In Class A, Pikeville went on the road and got by Campbellsville 28-21 in the state semifinals on Friday.
The Panthers will face the Raceland Rams this Friday, Dec 1 at 12:00 noon in a rematch of the last year’s class A championship game. Pikeville is going for their 3rd state title in a row.
Bell County will represent the mountains in the Class 3A football championship game for the first time since 2019, after getting by Hart County 30-28 on the road Friday in the state semifinals.
The Bobcats will take on Christian Academy of Louisville this Saturday at 12 noon in the 3A championship game.
In the 2A championship game Owensboro Catholic and Mayfield will play Friday, Dec 1 at 4:00 p.m.
Boyle County faces Covington Catholic Friday at 8:00pm in the 4A championship game.
Saturday at 8:00pm Bowling Green will face Copper in the 5A championship game.
Bryan Station will take on Trinity in the class 6A championship game Saturday at 4:00pm.
