KSP Says Body Found Wednesday Is Believed To Be I-75 Shooter Joseph Couch

The manhunt is over for suspected I-75 shooter Joseph Couch.

Kentucky State Police Commissioner Phillip Burnett said at a press conference Wednesday that troopers and two civilians searching for Couch in the Daniel Boone National Forest in Laurel County were drawn to the area where the decomposing human remains were found by vultures circling overhead.

Burnett says the remains will be analyzed to confirm the identity but items found near the body are believed to be directly associated with Couch.
