KSP Statewide Drug Sweep Leads to More Than 200 Arrests

A sweeping statewide drug investigation has led to more than 200 arrests including 37 in Pike County and 18 in Perry County.

The Governor’s Office says Kentucky State Police led the three-month investigation into some suspected drug trafficking rings called Operation Summer Heat with every KSP post participating.

In addition to the arrests they confiscated nearly $685,000 worth of illegal drugs including fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, and pills.

They also found 14 firearms, $10,000 in
stolen tools and a stolen vehicle.

And they’re not done – more arrests are pending.
