The Kentucky Head Start Association has honored six local teachers for their service to the children of the community through their work with the LKLP Community Action Head Start program.
The Hazard Herald reports the LKLP Head Start as a whole won the Edward Zigler Innovation Award. The Teacher of the Year Award went to Brittany Patrick.
The Staff of the Year Award went to Daphene Caudill.
The Achievement Award went to Deborah Raglin and the Beating the Odds Award to Erica Helton.
The Humanitarian of the Year Award went to Melanie Rowland and the Head Start Parent
Scholarship to Hailey Raglin.
