A Knott County road project has finished up early.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the bridge replacement at the intersection of KY 550 and KY 2759, which began in May, was finished enough to open to traffic yesterday.
They still have to do some striping and guard rail work and they ask you to pay attention to the signage.
Meanwhile in Breathitt County a new project starts Monday. Starting Monday, KY 15 in Jackson will be widened.
To do so the northbound lane will be closed between Indian Hollow Road and Lakeside Drive with traffic shifted into the center turn lane.
