LCC Boys Win and LCC Girls Lose in Regular Season Finales; District Tournament Next Week

After leading by 13 in the first half and by 10 at halftime, the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars lost at Leslie County 44-40 in the regular season finale last night in Hyden.  

It was the first 14th region loss of the season for the LCC girls.  

The Lady Cougars finish the regular season at 18-9. 

The Letcher County Central Cougars boys got the win at home over Prestonsburg last night 79-64 in the final game of the regular season.  

LCC Senior Brady Boggs had 32 points for the Cougars.  He’s scored 36, 36 and 32 points in his last 3 games.  

The LCC boys finish the regular season  at 15-11 and winners of 4 in a row.

The Jenkins Cavalier boys and girls have 1 game left each in the regular season and that will be at Abingdon Christian on Friday, in a boys/girls doubleheader.  

The boys and girls 53rd District Tournament will be held next week at Knott County Central.

Girls begin Monday Feb 26 with 2 games 

Boys begin Tuesday Feb 27 with 2 games
