In a pitchers duel, the Letcher County Central Cougars baseball team lost to Floyd Central 2-1 in the semifinals of the Class 2A Section 8 tournament Wednesday night at Stone Crest in Prestonsburg.
The 8-6 Cougars will next play at Lawrence County Friday at 6:30pm and then face Central Wise VA at LCC on Saturday at 12:00 noon.
The Jenkins Cavaliers baseball team lost at home to Mountian Mission VA out of Grundy VA 6-5 Wednesday night.
The Cavalier boys will next play a doubleheader at Menifee County on Saturday with game one at 1:00pm.
