Jasmine Sexton was named homecoming queen and the Letcher County Central Cougars got a big district win over the Whitley County Colonels 35-28 Friday night at Cougar Field.
It was a big night with homecoming and senior night going on and the big crowd saw the Cougars pull out a very important district win in the back and forth game.
With the win, LCC will finish in 2nd place in Class 4A District 8 and begin the playoffs playing at home on Friday November 8th.
The Cougars are now 5-4 overall and will wrap up the regular season this Friday with a road game at Belfry.
