In the high school softball, the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars are continue playing in the Cal Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach South Carolina this week during spring break. The Lady Cougars lost 12-4 yesterday to Forbush High School out of East Bend, North Carolina. The 6-6 Lady Cougars will face Maumee, Ohio at 11:15am this morning and then take on Victor NY at 1:30pm tomorrow afternoon. In all the LCC girls will play 6 games over 5 days thru Friday in Myrtle Beach.
The Jenkins Lady Cavaliers won’t play again until Monday April 8th when they play Leslie County in the opening round of the 14th Region All A Softball Tournament.
