The Letcher County Central volleyball team played in the Volleyball 2A State Tournament at Owensboro over the weekend.
The Lady Cougars lost to Warren East in the opening round on Friday afternoon and lost to Christian Academy of Louisville on Saturday in the consolation round.
Lexington Catholic won the 2A volleyball state tournament beating Warren East 3-0.
LCC junior Calissa Lowe was named to the 2A volleyball state all tournament team.
The LCC volleyball team will resume play tonight with a home match against Harlan County at 6:00pm.
