A former Coon Creek Volunteer firefighter and his mother have pleaded not guilty in connection with the death of a first responder who died in the crash of a fire truck last fall.
Prosecutors say Austin Turner was driving the truck when it crashed, killing Regina
Huffman, and he allegedly left the scene with the help of his mom, who also worked for
the department, with Huffman still alive in the truck.
The two were arraigned yesterday. WYMT reports Turner was indicted for murder and wanton endangerment with bond set at $125,000.
Ethel Turner was indicted for tampering with physical evidence and some new charges including forgery and theft for separate incidents with the Department.
