The 2023-24 high school basketball season got underway Monday.

The Letcher County Central Cougar boys opened the season at Prestonsburg last night and won over the Blackcats 78-75 in overtime!
PD Peyton Dixon had 29 points and went 4-4 from the free throw line in OT to seal the win.
Cameron Hays also had 14 for the Cougars.
The Cougar boys will next play Thursday at Buckhorn.
