It was a back-and-forth game, tied at 14 all at halftime, with a one-hour lightning delay in the 4th quarter, but the Letcher County Central Football Cougars came up short on a 2-point conversion and lost to Knox Central 28-27 in the opening round of the class 3A playoffs Friday night at Cougar Field.
The Cougars finish an awesome season at 6-5.
