In the 53rd district softball championship game last night at Knott County Central, the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars took care of business and beat Knott County Central 11-1 in 6 innings.
It’s the 5th consecutive 53rd District title for the 24-9 Lady Cougars and they have now won 14 games in a row.
LCC Senior Chloe Wampler was named district tournament MVP.
The 14th Region Softball Tournament will be played next week at Perry County Central.
The region draw is scheduled to be held today with these 8 teams competing for the 2024 softball 14th region championship.
