A couple of school districts have given salary raises to teachers and staff.
On Monday the Letcher County Public Schools Board of Education voted to give employees a 5% raise which will come from an increase the district will receive from the state from the
Supporting Education Excellence in Kentucky or SEEK funding.
Also this week the Harlan Independent School Board voted for a 10% raise for teachers and staff
