Letcher County is having a free Kids Fishing Day event on Saturday, June 1st at Fishpond Lake.
The event is free to attend, and you do not need a fishing license to participate. Each child will need to be accompanied by at least one adult.
Bring your own chair and a pole and some bait.
Letcher County Judge Executive Terry Adams will be giving away some bait but there is a limited amount.
Officials say a free lunch will be provided by CANE Kitchen to the first 100 kids.
