As you start to think about spring cleaning, Letcher County is having a waste tire collection event this month.
The County is offering free tire amnesty Thursday, Friday and Saturday March 19-21 at the Swanee Tipple in Isom.
They will take tires from light trucks, passenger cars, tractors, bikes, motorcycles, farm implements and go-carts.
They will not take tires from OTR or heavy equipment, calcium- or otherwise-filled tires, or beads greater than 1 ¾ inch.
This is for residents only, not tire retailers or recyclers
