A Letcher County man is facing two felonies for allegedly bypassing the water meter to
the house.
The Letcher County Water and Sewer District asked for a warrant for Joshua Brock for theft of service, alleging that he disconnected the water meter and “straight piped” the water.
The Mountain Eagle reports before the arrest Water District crews had gone to his home repeatedly and reinstalled the meter, noting that his straight piping caused a lot of leakage as well.
They estimate the lost water at more than $3,500.
