The Letcher County Recreation Center is reminding you of their Winter Safety Policy and modified hours for bad weather. Parks and Recreation Director Jeremiah Johnston says the Rec Center will follow school schedules when it comes to delays and opening times. He says, for example, if schools are on a 2-hour delay, the Rec Center will open at 8:00 am. If schools are closed, the earliest the Rec Center will open is 8:30 am. And he says depending on the weather will determine if the Rec Center will open later or stay closed. He says weekends will keep normal hours unless it’s not safe to travel.
