Library to Offer Program on Lilley Cornett Woods

The Harry M. Caudill Memorial Library is presenting a program on the Lilley Cornett Woods.

It’s next Saturday May 31.

They call it a local treasure some tend to forget but that is visited by people from all over.

Called “Talking with the Trees”, it will be led by Robert Brown, a Letcher County native who has called the woods home for over 30 years.

He will talk about the history of the woods and all the programs and things they offer to enjoy one of the longest protected old growth forests in the country.
