LIHEAP Enrollment is Now Open Through LKLP

LIHEAP fall subsidy enrollment is now open to help some residents save a little money
as winter sets in and heating costs start to rise.

LKLP Community Action Agency says the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program offers subsidies for coal, wood, propane, kerosene, natural gas or electricity to qualifying households.

LKLP serves Letcher, Leslie, Knott, and Perry counties.

Households that qualify have active utility accounts at or below 150 percent of the federal poverty level.

Contact LKLP for help with applying – they are taking applications through December 12.
