Gregory Hurt, age 68, of Thornton, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
He is survived by his wife René Hurt; 2 children: Heather Hurt of Louisville and Eric Hurt of Madisonville; 2 grandchildren; his mother: Verna Hurt of Thornton; 1 brother: Danny Hurt of Thornton; a niece: Vanessa Vanover of Jenkins; a nephew: Erich Hurt of Thornton; a great niece: Ashley Vanover of Jenkins; his mother-in-law: Geraldine Miles and brother-in-law: Christopher Miles.
Funeral services for Gregory Hurt will be held at 1:00pm this afternoon, Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church with Bill Craft officiating.
Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

Claudia Elizabeth Banks, age 87 of Whitesburg, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.
She is survived by 1 daughter: Pamela Slone of Littcarr; 1 brother: James Banks of California; 1 sister: Lucetta Smith of Michigan; 6 grandchildren: Virginia Lynn Banks, Melissa Williams, Rachel Moore, Matilda Dotson, Adam Slone, and Chanda Jent; 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Claudia Elizabeth Banks will be held at 7:00pm this evening, Friday, February 16, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Friday, February 16, 2024, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
