He is survived by his wife: Alma Fields Tindle and 1 sister: Pricie Rogan of Lockport Illinois.
Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. today, Monday, June 8, 2026 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services for Lester Tindle will follow at 1:00pm this afternoon, Monday, June 8, 2026 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with John Conn officiating.
Burial will follow in the Kingdom Come Cemetery.

Willie Eugene “Gene” Fields, age 83, of Florence, Kentucky, formerly of Letcher County, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky.
He is survived by his daughters, Eugenia “Genia” Allen, Patricia Sexton, and Ella Melissa “Missy” Jones; 2 grandchildren; great-grandchildren and one sister: Alene Maggard.
A visitation will be held on from 5:00-7:00pm followed by a celebration of life service, this evening, Monday, June 8, 2026, at Community Family Church in Independence, KY.
Local funeral services for Willie Eugene “Gene” Fields will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Calvary Temple Church of God at Sandlick.
Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00pm with the funeral service following at 1:00pm on Wednesday.
Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery in Ermine.
