Virginia Ann Polly, 81 of Vermilion, Ohio, formerly of Whitesburg, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Rowlett, Texas.
She is survived by 1 son: Nathaniel John Polly; 1 daughter: Velinta Lynn Hughes; 4 sisters: Jackie Tolan, Rhonda McPhearson, Dee-Ann Plaxco, and Stacie Vancamp; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00-10:00pm this evening, Monday, March 23, 2026, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services for Virginia Ann Polly will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Kings Chapel Church at Whitco with Frank Adams and Glennis Morris officiating.
Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery at Mayking.
The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Blake Hurt, age 74, passed away on Friday March 20, 2026.
He is survived by three daughters: Chandra Turner of Whitesburg, Juanita Adams of Hazard, and Elizabeth Holland of Hazard; one son: Blake Hurt, Jr. of Hazard and 2 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00pm this evening, Monday at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home in Hazard.
Funeral Services for Blake Hurt will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home in Hazard with Chris Sale officiating.
Military Rites will be conducted by the Hazard-Perry County D.A.V. Chapter #64.
Burial will follow in the Collins Family Cemetery in Letcher County.
