Charlotte Ray “Lottie” Hampton

Charlotte Ray “Lottie” Hampton, age 83 of Ermine, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Whitesburg ARH. 

She is survived by 1 brother: Phillip Hampton of Whitesburg; sister-in-law: Cheri Hampton of Whitesburg and sister-in-law: Lou Anna Hampton of Louisville;  nieces and nephews: Autumn, Phillip, Lindsay and Ashley and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Charlotte Ray “Lottie” Hampton will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Dixon and Elwood Cornett officiating. 

Visitation will be after 6:00pm Tuesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. 

There will be an Eastern Star Service at 7:00pm Tuesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. 

Burial will follow in the Isom Cemetery at Isom.

The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements. 

Paul Polly

Paul Polly, age 79, of Jenkins passed away Friday March 22, 2024 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. 

He is survived by his wife; Shirley Webb Polly of Jenkins; 1 daughter: Lisa Dawn Johnson of Jenkins; 1 grandson: Tyler “Little Buddy” Collins of Jenkins; 1  brother: James “Jojo” Polly of McRoberts; 1 sister: Ruby Cook of Marion.

Funeral services for Paul Polly will be held at 1:00pm this afternoon, Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel with Will Hall officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Haven Rest Cemetery at Mayking. 

The Hall and Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

David Truman McKnight

David Truman McKnight, age 75, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Harlan ARH.  

He is survived by 1 daughter: Miranda Johnson of Cumberland; 2 special daughters: Katina Fields of Partridge and Nikki Williams of Cumberland; 2  brothers: Johnny McKnight of Cloverlick and James “Junebug” McKnight of Crab Orchard; 2 sisters: Sara “Sissy” Augusta of Jonesboro, TN and Debbie Fields of Benham; 7 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his uncle and best friend, Roger McKnight and 2 special friends: Eddie Powell and George Johnson Jr.

Funeral services for David Truman McKnight will be held at 3:00pm this afternoon, Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Tri City Funeral Home at Benham with Dillard Stanley officiating. 

Burial will follow at the Hall Family Cemetery at Cloverlick.

Military honors will be conducted by the Harlan County Honor Guard at the cemetery.

The Tri City Funeral Home of Benham is in charge of the arrangements.

Kelli Lee Campbell

Kelli Lee Campbell, age 40 of Whitesburg, formerly of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center.

She is survived by her fiancé: Kevin Vanover; 1 Sister: Saundra Dennis of Rapid City, Michigan; a Nephew: Tyler Dennis; Special Children at Heart: Kenndi Paige Vanover & Khady Vanhoose; Second Mother: Agnes Woods and several Aunts & Uncles. 

Visitation will be after 5:00pm this evening, Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home at Martin. 

Funeral Services for Kelli Lee Campbell will be held at 4:00pm tomorrow, Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home at Martin with Bill Campbell officiating. 

Graveside services will be scheduled at a later date. 

In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the Floyd County Animal Shelter, Wood Stock Adoption or Country Hills Veterinary Clinic.

Rod Stewart

Rod Stewart, age 60 of Jenkins, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at his residence.

He is survived by 1 daughter: Carly Gilliam of Big Stone Gap, VA; 4 sisters: 

Ruby Baker of Jenkins, Nina Dabney of Richmond, VA, Naomi Rose of Lexington and Lou Ann Thomas of Richmond, VA and 2 grandchildren.

Arrangements for Rod Stewart will be announced later by the Hall and Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel. 

Barbara A. Johnson

Barbara A. Johnson, age 88, of Dorton, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Pikeville Medical Center. 

She is survived by her husband: Harold D. Johnson; 4 sons: Rodney Johnson of Myra, Ricky Johnson of Keavy, Randy Johnson of Barbourville and Ronnie Johnson of Shelby Gap; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Barbara A. Johnson will be held at 11:00am this morning, Monday. March 25, 2024, at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home at Virgie with the Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Addington-Johnson-Newsom Cemetery at Brushy Fork of Beefhide.
