Brenda Sue Cornett
Brenda Sue Cornett, age 44, of Linefork, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025 at her home.
She is survived by her parents, Arthur Bee Cornett of Linefork and Theresa Jo Combs Cornett of Wise, Virginia; one son: Joe Cornett of Linefork; one brother: Henry Edward Cornett of Osgood, Indiana; one stepsister: Felicia Kindler of Texas and one special friend: Von Lewis.
Funeral services for Brenda Sue Cornett will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at the Defeated Creek Old Regular Baptist Church with Roger Fields and Gary Jay Halcomb officiating.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm, this evening, Monday, at the Defeated Creek Old Regular Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Cornett Family Cemetery at Linefork.
The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Curtis “Curt” Anderson
Curtis “Curt” Anderson, age 77, of McRoberts passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, at his residence.
He is survived by his wife: Nell Fleming Anderson; two sons: Emory Mullins of Harlan and Curtis Wayne Anderson II of McRoberts; three daughters: Charlene Anderson of North Carolina, Christine Dever of North Carolina and Carmella Mullins of Pound, VA; eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Curtis “Curt” Anderson will be held at 1:00pm, this afternoon, Monday May 19, 2025 at the McRoberts Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lonesome Dove Cemetery at McRoberts.

Roger L. Jones, age 74, of Hiram passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at his residence.
He is survived by his wife: Linda Eldridge Jones, of Hiram; two sons, John Paul Jones of Partridge and Jeffery Adam Jones of Hiram; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Roger L. Jones will be held at 2:00pm this afternoon, Monday, May 19, 2025 at the Rockvine Baptist Church with Jason Caudill officiating.
