Ellis O. Maggard, age 59, of Eolia, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard.
He is survived by his wife: Lisa Maggard; 1 sister: Olivia Sprouse of Georgetown; brothers-in-law: Ronnie Strunk, Rick Middleton and Barry Sprouse; sister-in-law: Kathy Wilson; 2 nieces and 2 nephews; mother-in-law: Betty Middleton and special caregiver: Kimberly Coots.
Visitation will be after 5:00pm this evening, Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services for Ellis O. Maggard will follow at 7:00pm this evening, Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Creech and Caleb Howard officiating.
A private burial service will follow at the J.D. Maggard Cemetery at Eolia.

She is survived by her parents Donald and Edith Mullins of Whitesburg; 2 brothers: Donald Mullins and Charles Mullins; 1 sister: Deanne Brock; 5 nieces; 1 nephew and 2 great nieces.

She is survived by her husband Tom Trauss of Liberty Township, Ohio, Special Niece Brooke Sturgill of Thornton, her mother Vina Hensley Lucas of Thornton, sister Joella Lucas Hogg of Thornton, brother Stanley Lucas of Thornton, brother in law Letcher Asher of Louisville, sister in law Christy Mulhall of Fern Creek along with several nieces and nephews.
