Margie Collier

Margie Collier, age 77, of Duffield, VA. passed away Friday, July 4, 2025 at the Ridgecrest Manor Nursing and Rehabilition. 

She is survived by 2 daughters: Susan Whitehead of Blackey and Jenifer Profitt of North Carolina; Special daughter: Melissa Selby; 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation for Margie Collier will be held after 6:00 on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with services at 7:00pm.

The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Wendell Wayne Mullins

Wendell Wayne Mullins, age 73, of Jenkins, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center. 

He is survived by his wife: Sharon “Sherry” Wright Mullins; one son: Wendell “Wayne” Mullins Jr.; one stepson: Zack; two stepdaughters: Summer and Traistine; 3 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; one brother: Bobby Mullins and one sister: Josephine Crace.

Funeral services for Wendell Wayne Mullins will be held at 11:00am this morning, Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel with Donnie Mullins officiating.

Edna Lou Campbell

Edna Lou Campbell, age 64, of Jenkins, passed away on Monday June 30, 2025, at her residence. 

She is survived by her companion: Ronnie Bentley; two sons: Burton Miller of Whitesburg and Lee Miller of Jenkins; two stepsons: Alvin Bentley and Odie Bentley; two daughters: Ida Mae McCray of Jenkins and Tina Stacy of Jenkins; two brothers: Clayton Stacy of Hazard and Donald Ray Stacy of Floyd County; two sisters: Agnes Sue Stacy Colwell of Hazard and Betty Neace of Somerset; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Edna Lou Campbell will be held at 1:00PM on Monday July 7, 2025 at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel with Clayton Stacy officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Bentley Family Cemetery at Bear Fork. 

Visitation will be after 6:00pm on Sunday at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel.

Jimmy “Jimbob” King

Jimmy “Jimbob” King, age 77, of Kite, passed away on Tuesday July 1, 2025, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.

He is survived by his wife: Chelsa Faye King; One Daughter- Ashley Gail King; Three Sisters- Carolyn Gayheart Doris Waddles and Phyllis King Hall; Special Sister-In-Law- Glenda Gail Hall and 4 Grandchildren. 

Funeral Services for Jimmy “Jimbob” King will be held at 12:00 noon today, Saturday July 5, 2025, at the Topmost Baptist Church with Sonny Hatmaker, Glennis Cook, Mark Cook, & Curtie Hall officiating. 

Burial will follow at the King Cemetery at Kite.

Denver Dale Caldwell, age 74, of Slemp, KY, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Rockcastle Health and Rehab in Brodhead, KY. 

He is survived by his wife: Arlene Caldwell; Two Brothers: Darrell Caldwell of Slemp & Bobby Caldwell of Delphia and Special Friend: Margaret Pennington. 

Funeral services for Denver Dale Caldwell will be held at 11:00am this morning, Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the First Baptist Church Big Leatherwood. 

Burial will be in the Williams Caldwell Cemetery at Slemp.
