Willene Bentley Tubbs

Willene Bentley Tubbs, age 83, of Cromona, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at her residence.

She is survived by one son: Stacy Tubbs of Cromona; one granddaughter: Samantha Whitaker; two brothers: Tommy Bentley and Johnny Bentley, both of Cromona; one sister: Glenda Sue Hall of Kite and special nieces, Sonja Grimm and Pat Bentley.

Funeral services for Willene Bentley Tubbs will be held at 12:00 Noon today, Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Freddie Hall officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Thornton Cemetery at Thornton.

John Andrew Wright

John Andrew Wright, age 85, of Payne Gap, passed away on Wednesday June 4, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center.

He is survived by one son: James B. Wright of Covington; one daughter: Debra Lee Wright of Knoxville, TN; one grandchild; 2 sisters: Glenna Theresa Matney of Brandenburg, Kentucky and Shelia Faye Wright of North Myrtle Beach, SC.

Visitation will be at 11:00am Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the McRoberts Old Regular Baptist Church.

Funeral services for John Andrew Wright will follow at 1:00pm Sunday at the McRoberts Old Regular Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to McRoberts Old Regular Baptist Church.

Shana Luladean Ratliff, age 39, of Jeremiah, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the Norton Hospital in Louisville.

She is survived by her mother: Debbie Kay Combs Caudill; step father: Randall Caudill; 2 daughters: Mckynli Faith Blair of Viper and Lillyania Mullins of Blackey; 5 brothers: Brian Adkins of Isom, Steven Ratliff of Campbranch, Shawn Ratliff of Blackey, Sam Fraley of Mt. Sterling, and Justin Caudill of Lexington; 2 sisters: Jeniffer Hockenberry of Totz and Regina Caudill of Jeremiah;.

Funeral Services for Shana Luladean Ratliff will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. 

Burial will follow in the Charlie Ratliff Cemetery at Kingscreek.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 10:00pm Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.

James Fairley Lewis Sr., age 78 of Eolia, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center. 

He is survived by 3 children: Angie Lewis Sturgill, James Fairley Lewis Jr. and Brian Lewis; 4 brothers: Lester Lewis, Joey Lewis, Jack Lewis and Chester Lewis; sisters: Becky Frerichs (Fr-air-icks) and Carol Rayburn; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be after 6:00pm Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.  

Burial will be private.

Billy Lucas, age 71, of Mooresburg, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Jefferson City Health and Rehab Center.  

He is survived by 1 son: Aaron Lucas of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; 1 daughter: Shelia Frazier of Whitesburg; 1 brother: Mark Lucas of Clintwood, Virginia; 4 sisters: Rosemary Regan of Rutledge, Tennessee, Carol Helton of Morristown, Tennessee, Donna Sexton of Whitesburg and Rita Lucas Hall of Whitesburg; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. 

Funeral services for Billy Lucas will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Quillen officiating. 

Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Saturday, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. 

Burial will follow in the Lucas Family Cemetery at Ermine.

Lovell Collins, age 72 of Little Colley, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home. 

He is survived by 5 children: Bessie Lynn Ritchie, Corine Faye Frazier, Lovell Collins Jr., Polly Jean Hampton and Anthony Neil Collins; 6 brothers: Oscar Collins, Wesley Jr. Collins, Johnny Collins, John Morton, Charles Morton and Christopher Morton; 6 sisters: Rose Pugh, Christine Costa, Evelyn Smith, Judy Collins, Banzel Pugh and Tina Sexton; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. 

Funeral services will be at 11:00am this morning, Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Redfox Pentecostal Church with Oscar Collins and Donnie Wallen officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Isom.

Shane Estep, age 53, of Dorton, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center. 

He is survived by his fiancé, LaDonna Stewart; two daughters: Kayla Abbott of Lexington and Katrina Estep of Dorton and four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Shane Estep will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home at Virgie with Billy Joe Estep officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Iricks Cemetery at Wrights Fork of Beefhide. 

Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Saturday at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home with services beginning at 7:00pm.

Julia Ann Collins, age 81, of McRoberts, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, in New Tazewell.

She is survived by 2 sons: Tim Collins and Ted Collins; honorary grandchild, Rickey Daryll Poff; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Memorial services for Julia Ann Collins will be held at 3:00pm this afternoon, Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Church of Jesus in Tom Biggs Hollow at McRoberts with David Cody Thomas officiating.

Visitation will be from 2:00pm today, Saturday, until the funeral service at the Church of Jesus in McRoberts.
