Janie Yvonne Whitehead Jent, age 73, of Blackey, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the Whitesburg ARH.
She is survived by her husband: Ralph Jent, 1 daughter: Laquatta “Doodle” Darlene Brashear; 1 granddaughter: Janna Raquel Napier; 1 brother :Kenny Whitehead of Blackey and 1 sister: Judy Cole of Hazard.
Funeral Services for Janie Yvonne Whitehead Jent will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, July 18, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home with Danny Dixon, Elwood Cornett, and Jim Fields officiating.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Cleve Caudill Cemetery at Blackey.
The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Deborah Lynn Partin Shepherd, age 58, of Dayhoit formerly of Delphia, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
She is survived by her children: Amber Belcher and Lee Glover both of Gordon, Dakota Smith and Kamryn Smith both of Dayhoit; eleven siblings, Rocky Partin of Benham; Daniel Partin of Gordon; Randy Partin of TN; Michael Partin of Indiana; Alicia Shepherd of Cumberland; Devada Cornett; Mary Ann Cornett; Christina Carswell; Jason Partin; Brian Partin and Amy Partin; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; life friend and father of her children, Ronald Glover and his current wife, Alice, of Gordon.
A memorial service for Deborah Lynn Partin Shepherd will be planned at a later time.
The Tri-City Funeral Home of Benham is in charge of the arrangements.

Essie Joseph, age 96, of Hazard, passed away on Monday-July 14th, 2025 at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Everett Joseph and one son: Everett Scott Joseph.
Visitation will be from 9:00am-11:00am on Friday, July 18th, 2025, at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home in Hazard.
Funeral Services for Essie Joseph will follow af 11:00am on Friday at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home in Hazard with Carl Baker Officiating.
Burial will follow at Fields Family Cemetery in Right Fork of Maces Creek at Viper.
