Mona Kaye Cornett

Mona Kaye Cornett, age 53, of Linefork, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband: Roy Cornett, 1 Son: Roy Lee Cornett of Linefork; 1 brother: James Paul Sumpter of Kingscreek; 1 sister: Jolena Boggs of Isom; 3 grandchildren: Trinity, Kaleb and Memphis Cornett; 2 blessed neighbors: Roger and Cilla Fields and Billy and Iva Ingram; 2 special friends: Terry and Terri.

Funeral services for Mona Kaye Cornett will be held at 1:00pm this afternoon, Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Defeated Creek Old Regular Baptist Church with Roger Fields and other officiating.

Burial will follow in the Day Cemetery at Kingscreek.

The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Carter Lane Gibson

Carter Lane Gibson, age 56, of Topmost, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at his residence.

He is survived by his wife: Irene Johnson; Brothers and Sisters: Dennis Holland, Randall Vick, Laura Brock, Brenda Noble, Sandra Whitaker and Rena Breeding

Funeral services for Carter Lane Gibson will be held at 7:00pm this evening, Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with Freddie Hall officiating.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon, today, Thursday at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel.

Family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made toward funeral expenses.

The Hindman Funeral Services of Hindman is in charge of the arrangements.

Roger Dale Creech

Roger Dale Creech, 76 of Slemp, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Ann Creech of Slemp; one daughter: Kimberly Henson of Harlan; one son: Roger Keith Creech of Willisburg, KY; 4 grandchildren: James Dixon, Tyler Dixon, Katlyn Wells and Kari Chesser; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Yvonne Steely of Middlesboro and Karen McIntyre of Viper; sister-in-law: Linda Kay Creech of Slemp and step-father: Merrill Campbell of LaFollette, TN.

Visitation for Roger Dale Creech will be held from 4:00-8:00pm Friday November 22, 2024 at the Trinity Holiness Tabernacle at Hiram.

Funeral services for Roger Dale Creech will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday November 23, 2024 at the Trinity Holiness Tabernacle at Hiram with Jonathan Adams, Rex Lloyd, Garland Sargent, and Keith Creek officiating.

Burial will follow in the Arch Halcomb Cemetery at Little Leatherwood.
