Cora Lou Adams

Cora Lou Adams, age 87, of Isom, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington.

She is survived by 6 children: Deborah Grigsby of Hazard, Jennifer Adams of Isom, Kenny Adams and Connie Blair both of Jeremiah, Joann Baker of Whitesburg and Marty Adams of Jeremiah; 3 brothers: Van Sexton of Addiston, Alabama, Jack Sexton of Iowa, and Henry Sexton of Lexington; 2 sisters: Barb Patrick of Springfield, Ohio and Paulette Hunt of Island Lake, Illinois; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00-10:00pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services for Cora Lou Adams will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Ward officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Combs Cemetery at Isom.

Aleece Hall Jones

Aleece Hall Jones, age 90, passed away on Saturday August 23, 2025, at her residence. 

She is survived by her children: Nancy Carter of Gilmer, Texas and Amy Kincer of Jenkins; son-in-law Richard Corbett of Jenkins Kentucky; and “adopted” daughter Ruth Bentley of Hazard. Grandchildren: Joshua Carter, Jessamyn Carter, Mark Carter, Kara Neri, Lawrence Jacob Maggard, Katelyn Maggard, Matthew Corbett, Sarah Corbett, Gregory Kincer, Karlee Hawkins, Sharaye Whitaker, Beverly Cook, and Hadley Bentley along with 16 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life for Aleece Hall Jones held will be held from 1:00-4:00pm on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Letcher Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Aleece’s honor to the LKLP Head Start.

Edra Mae Pack

Edra Mae Pack, age 84, of Cowan, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025 at her residence. 

She is survived by 3 sisters: Margaret York of Cowan, Lisa Fields of Cowan and Janet Collins of Tennessee; 4 brothers: Stanley Pack, Lonnie Pack, Vernon Pack and Kenny Pack all of Cowan.

Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Tuesday, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. 

Funeral services for Edra Mae Pack will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Murphy and Cody Thomas officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Margie Pack Cemetery at Cowan.

Van O’Neal Webb Sr.

Van O’Neal Webb Sr., age 88, of Ermine, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025, at his residence. 

He is survived by 2 sons: Van O’Neal Webb Jr. of Ermine and Jimmy Bert Webb of Florence, Alabama; 1 daughter: Pam Pratt of Ermine; 7 grandchildren: Heather, Josh, Cory, Jason, Monica, Ray, and Taneisha; 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. 

Funeral Services for Van O’Neal Webb Sr. will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the Peoples Fundamental Baptist Church at Jenkins. 

Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery at Ermine. 

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Peoples Fundamental Baptist Church.

Ronald “Ronnie” Bradley Bentley

Ronald “Ronnie” Bradley Bentley, age 87, of Mayking, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. 

He is survived by 2 sons: Tyler Bentley of Lexington and Stephen Bentley of Frankfort; 1 sister: Barbara Nadig of Seminole, Florida and 3 grandchildren: Payton, Claire, and Ellie.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. 

A Memorial Service for Ronald “Ronnie” Bradley Bentley will follow at 11:00am Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Denver Pigman officiating.
